Story of the hour 11/11/08
My view on The Story of An Hour is that when the character Mrs. Mallard finds out that her husband has passed away, she was filled with joy. Most people would think that maybe her husband used to abuse her or misuse her. But in my opinion, I think maybe her husband used to treat her like a princess, gave her everything she desired, but it’s just that it wasn’t the type of life she wanted. Maybe she desired something else, something she couldn’t have before. In reality my opinion is that if it’s really true that she was treated like a princess by her husband then he’s doing his part in keeping her happy so it would be kind of cruel of her just to get up and leave him when he really doesn’t deserve it. So she waits on his death.

you are right about if she was treated right then she should stay. But on the other hand maybe she really really wasn't happy
